Best Used Car (Jeep) Ad EVER

-It leaks a little oil. How much? Not enough for me to care. It has 220,000 miles, Poindexter! If you have a vehicle with 220K NOT leaking or burning oil, it's empty!

Ha! That sounds like this guy took writing lessons from me! I agreed with everything that cat said-----And it is priced about right. Ain't nothing to keep that on the road for another 20 years. I know, my daily driver is an 89 Wrangler with the impossible to kill inline 6.--

On another note, ever been to Enid, Ok?. There's more action watching the corn grow. Maybe the deadness of of the environment makes you that way.--6

After working on my buddy's CJ's for years I have no interest in any Jeep products, but would enjoy drinking a beer with him.

2006 last year for. I6 in a wrangler. Unsure about other models. A lot of purist say that was the last year of the "good" Jeeps. Opinions vary, Lotta guys like the new ones too-I personally can't afford a newer one. I'm happy as a clam with the little 2000 model wrangler I bought as a toy/hunting vehicle.
It has 183,000 miles on it and still drives like I would expect something with 40,000 miles on it to drive. Not like new, but still very solid. It has the I six also with a five speed. The five-speed gets old sometimes because I don't enjoy driving them as much as I did when I was younger but it's been reliable nonetheless

Just like the author of that craigslist ad, I also find most people who wear affliction T-shirts and stitch pocket bluejeans irritating as well. It is usually a 40-year-old dude who maybe works out once a month who has the sleeves rolled up to showcases 14 inch guns and who wears his hair spiked up in the middle.
I just want to scream at these people, "just because you like to watch MMA, It does not make you a bad Motor scooter yourself!"

We rediscovered Jeeps last year in the form as a ZJ and more recently an old XJ. Everything the guys spoke of is the truth and they're my kinda rig. Maintenance free? Heck no, but easy maintenance it is and the modifying it is cheap as you can get.

Friend put the ad on FB last week and I've spread the joy accordingly. :D

Brent, details why not ??????????

Though every mfg. has trouble with certain production vehicles (certain years etc)usually I have found Jeep is one quality ride!
And for going in the tuff, absolute a wonder.

I must live in a different world than you guys, but I haven't seen a jeep since the 1970s that ran worth a stuff. Not to mention there is really no excuse for the poor fit and finish and ride quality of these things - even if you set aside the mechanical problems.

Some folks hate Fords, some hate GM. I guess I'm a Jeep hater - sorry.

I have no idea why I bought the newer Jeeps as my yellow was bought new back in 89 and Rubicon sits in the garage and the wife's 4 door is nothing but a grocery getter. The in line 6 in "Ole Yeller" is pushing 200,000 hard miles and still does not burn any oil. I'll probably die with it.---6

I used to have a fairly stock '46 CJ, but had to sell it to help pay the doctor fees when my first daughter was born back in 1977. (No medical insurance in those days, but I always paid my own way!) I've always wanted another flat hood Willys CJ, but already am paying way too much CA DMV fees on the stuff I have, so it just never happened. :(

What is your favorite 4X4 stuff Brent?

Dude-----got to tell ya them CJ5's (they be rockin) when I had my 69 F100 shortbox (w-44" swampers)
My buddy had a New 1986 Silver CJ5 lifted at factory and fitted with 36" Dick Cepek's (w/bikini top/soft top)
The most fun vehicle I have ever been in (and man did the gals love it) more than my sky high (one fine 69)

Transferred here from Tuscon in Dec-----(it did break down first week here,in work parking lot) Did not have proper anti-freeze and smoked the engine(cracked block)----they actually put a new engine in it----from Jeep!
After that(couple weeks in shop)--------------it was all fun and that thing would go anywhere.

The 6 cylinder Jeep engine had basically been around from the early 1930's. It had been reworked and changed around but the 1930's Nash flathead six is where it all began.
