The question is not whether or not that Ohio is "Bear Country", but rather whether or not Northern/Western Bears have migrated vs. a hidden local population expanding into Populated areas...

Yep.....I've heard the bear stories from Cambridge to the south and east since the fifties....Now, they are pushing into the sticks east of Columbus.....

Yep - Not enough hunters, and too many houses, too close together, to make hunting feasible/safe............... We've now got Black Bear & Coyote here in Southern New England, running around the suburbs semi-regularly (To say nothing of the Wild Turkey).
