Recent powder supply purchase.

Post by 2ndovc »

Had a chance to stop by one of the larger shops today.

Non inflated prices on powder. Bought a pound of IMR 4227, Varget and Win 296.
lots of Bullseye and Unique but I'm well stocked there.
Spotty primers but they were $40/ 1000. $10 too high in my OP.

Lots of long guns, half dozen M1A's, two dozen AR's and two Tommy Guns. Lots of Glocks and Sigs.

No 9mms or .22lrs though. Crazy S !

Seems to be plenty of shotgun ammo out there.

I'm replenishing my store of 00 buck. Cabelas has boxes of (5) for $2.99.

That seems affordable to me.

Picked up (10) boxes of those a few days back, and another (10) boxes today.

Last LP primers I bought cost me $39 plus tax, which comes to roughly $41.50. Too much, I know, but now I got them, so it doesn't matter what i paid. I like to keep 15K of each (LP and SP) ahead. That brought me back up to snuff. I fear that in five years we might look back fondly at the days of $40 primers. Remember $10 bricks of .22s?
