Yep, obviously a result of the global warming we're so often reminded of.

Re: Indian Winter???
I woke up to one degree above zero F this morning. That's 30 or 40 degrees colder than it should have been.
Re: Indian Winter???
That wouldn't work for me. Just had our first 50 degree day of this year on Thursday, that is about 2 months overdue. It was 70 on Saturday and had snow the previous Saturday, just skipping spring around here. Fishing opener is this Saturday and most of the lakes the ice hasn't gone out yet.

Steve, it's the meteorological "rent" you pay for living so close to those gorgeous Rockies. Me, I'm putting in my tomatoes this week way down here at 2,300 feet, about 80 miles due east of the Pacific Ocean.
Re: Indian Winter???
Crazy all over. I've seen days when you'd run the heat in the morning to knock the chill off and the A/C in the afternoon cause it got so hot. Welcome to Fla.

Re: Indian Winter???
We're calling it the never ending winter, up here in northern Wisconsin, though we have now had several days in the 70s. Our fishing season opens on May 4 and a lot of our larger lakes will still be iced in. And, of course, more snow in the forecast.

Steve, I know two more who love it there: my brother in Boulder and my brother in the Springs.

The first part of May usually brings Blackberry Winter (because the blackberries are blooming). It is not unusual to see a light frost, which surprises everyone who can't remember last year.

Re: Indian Winter??? - It's Official
Same here. Last three days sunny and upper 70's, low 80's. Beautiful spring weather, but ...rain and thunderstorms starting tonight again and temps in the upper 30's to mid 40's scheduled for the rest of the week. This weird, redundant weather pattern sure makes it difficult to get all the needed mowing and other outside maintenance needed to enter whatever kind of summer we in for! The farm is on the market
and plenty of "spruce up" needs are on hold due to the the crazy spring we're experiencing!

So, you're blaming the Indians for global warming?

Maybe Mescalero can explain the tactical usefulness of the rapidly changing weather. The Indian tribes used nature to their advantage.

Was out helping a neighbor rancher fence off a section of BLM last couple days and getting sunburnt. Today I'm sitting inside keeping the wood stove fed and it's already snowed, melted and snowing again now with white out and icy conditions.

Yep, snowing today in central Iowa. As my 17yo said, Mother Nature is drunk and needs to go home,
