Marlin 1894 CL in 32-20

Post by odinohi »

What would one expect to pay for a levergun like this? I may be putting mine up for sale. I know without more in it cant be determined precisely, a ballpark figure is what I'm wondering. Thanks, Tom

.

Real value, as opposed to an opinion, or what someone once-upon-a-time paid for theirs, is how much somebody actually paid for a like example TODAY, or recently.

IMO, the best way to find that out would be to surf ONLY sold/closed gun auctions for another rifle in the same condition as yours to find out.

Please remember that any unsold, unbid, "starting bid", "prices" , etc, are NOT values - they are some seller's hope, and many hopes are unrealistic.

One of the best ways is to look for 'sold' listings on GunsAmerica and GunBroker. You can search back for a year I think.

Well, FWIW, I recently sold off mine (never really took a liking to it) for $650.00 on GunBroker. But be sure to check (you have to "login" to check prices on "completed auctions", and sort by the highest # of bids) to get the latest prices since the "mad rush" began a few months back... (for real Marlins, AND ammo)

10 to 12 GREAT pictures and an honest/accurate description will serve you well.

Pix of the Marlin 1894 CL 32-20 that I sold off are included in this link, to give you idea of what shape mine was in when it sold.

I bought another levergun with the proceeds guys, so no need to beat me up too bad!

Good luck.

I have one made in 1989. I think if You have the box and papers that came with it Today $700.00 isn't out of the question. all of the JM marked Guns are steadly going up in value. The 32-20 is one of My favorite rounds. Good Luck with Yours.
