Ken Waters states that H4895,3031 and reloader 7 are the best powders. The smallest groups were made with 34gr of H4895,then 32gr of 3031,and 29 gr of reloader 7. I use 34 gr of H4895. These are with170gr bullets at 2200fps.

My three friends who loaded the .32 Spec. all used 32 gr. IMR 3031 under the Hornady 170 gr. bullet.

+1 on what Hobie said. That load has always been the best in the several rifles I have owned for that cartridge!! Art

My best jacketed 32 load is also 34.0-34.5grs of H-4895.It gives good velocity and great accuracy. It can also be reduced I you need to .

Today I tried 33 gr. of H4895 and the 170 gr Hornady bullet. Held 2 inch group at 50 yards and chronographed 1975 fps out of the 20 inch barrel..........Old Federal factory loads did 2170 fps and put three shots under an inch at 50 yards............I'll give the 3031 a try as it is my favorite 35 Remington powder.....................Thanks.........Bob
