If you think a picture of that idiot ex WI Governor is gonna make me warm and fuzzy this CHRISTMAS season you would be wrong.

The Festivus Pole is aircraft grade aluminum - we have the office model which is of course plastic.

Some places ... I have heard :) are in permanent celebration and get the chrome model

Gentlemen,

I am not serious about celebrating Festivus. If you have watched Seinfeld long enough, then you will get the joke. Festivus started as a celebration, back in 1966, for the girlfriend of someone that wound up being connected to Seinfeld. On the television show, Festivus is celebrated on "the day before the day before Christmas", which is December 23rd. That is why I posted this on December 23rd. :D

jh45gun, if that man is an idiot, then he fits right in with the notion of Festivus.

Actually, I, and many people that I know, celebrate Christmas. I understand that Jesus was not born on December 25th, but that is the day that is long-reserved for His birthday celebration. ...therefore, in advance, I wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!. :D :D :D :!:

Some people have no sense of humor. I think Festivus is a great schtick,

And, FWIW, I know JEWS that celebrate "Christmas"... as well as Hanukkah... because it is, at its root, NOT a "Christian" holiday, but a midwinter/solstice celebration and part of the secular culture. ( Show me where anything "Christmas" is biblical. The Gift Giving by the Eastern Astrologers ("Wise Men") didn't occur until months after the Birth and occurred at "the house" not the stable. Also, Jeremiah excoriates the Hebrews for "following Pagan Ways" and having decorated trees)

Of course this annoys both Jewish and Christian "Fundamentalists" (because history is not fundamental to their worldview) so I approve heartily.

Folks need to lighten up... be Charitable. It's Christmas after all...

Since the characters and the actors in Seinfeld are Jews that I think we can presume aren't religious and are marking an alternate holiday of celebration and making it up as they go - airing of grievances, feats of strength, it's still a semi free country, I don't take it as an offense. Think I agree with OI. Dec. 25th was almost certainly not Jesus's birthday. I say Merry Christmas, I say happy holidays (there are at least 5 in the period) depends on to who an the moment, the season belongs not exclusively to anyone. The first amendment has been turned on it's ear - it was meant to protect religion and the free exercise thereof and it is being used the restrict it for Christians - liberals and their bassackwards convoluted reasoning =-- again.
