Old deer pic i`m proud of.

Post by Pitchy »

Shortly after buying the Browning 86 new in 86 i`m holding this ten point buck made a mistake. I was walking along the edge of a field and he tried to circle around behind me, at least that must of been what he thought.
I heard him crashing through the brush so i turned around and had the rifle at my shoulder and sure enough he jumped over the fence and when he landed he was standing broadside at 60 yards and all he could say was "oh pelosi"
Shot him through the heart, he ran about 20 feet into a tree and gave it up.
He hung three days dressed and when i had him weighed he was at 230 lbs.
It was one of my better days. :D

Man Pitchy, that's a big buck. These little ol' Okie deer just don't get that big. I have a neighbor to the south that raises whitetail though and he has the Macrouras strain I think. Much bigger deer. He had three bucks escape during the fall a few years back and I guess they bred everything they could find 'cause I see a real big'un every now and then.
