I have watched their vids on youtube for awhile and the show.They are knuckleheads but in the end of each show they always have
a good message.I'm sure it gets hammed up for tv.

Best show on tv, IMO. Clean and funny. Those guys look like they have a ton of fun.

I'm not sure that redneck incidents are really so much mysterious as they are curious, if you consider the stereotype.

It's no mystery that a subject could be or would be killed if their redneck mojo fails in execution, but more cautious people are driven to wonder why anyone would do 'that' in the first place.

Maybe not,

Here is some family history;
Phil Robertson

Patriarch of the family, Phil, is a living legend in Louisiana and is better known by his alias; the Duck Commander. He may not look like it, but he played first-string quarterback ahead of football star Terry Bradshaw at Louisiana Tech University in the ’60s. They were both drafted into the NFL but Phil turned it down because it interfered with duck season. Instead he stayed in Louisiana, married his high school sweetheart, Miss Kay, built a house down by the river and together they raised four sons. His love for the outdoors lead him to create the Duck Commander® Duck Call in 1973, which has gone on to become the most trusted duck whistle ever conceived. Duck hunting is so important to Phil that he follows a strict routine of no showering, no shaving, and no clothes washing of any kind during the ten-week season to ensure a bountiful haul.
These folks are making some money off this deal.

I grew up about 10 miles from Phil and was a few years younger. We attended neighboring schools. I knew him but not well. He went through a "rebellious period" as a youth. If you ever happen to have a opportunity to hear his testimonial make an effort to GO. It will be worth he trip.

When he walks into the room the first thing you will think is "I am going to get preached to by John the Baptist" When you grt up to leave afterwards you will be thinking "I just got preached to by John the Baptist."
