Post by GregT »

I saw one of these at a gunshow in passing yeasterday. What is the story of these? Are they still available? Going price? This had a pistol grip and checkering, looked pretty nice.
Any info will be appreciated!

Before long someone will post details who really knows something, but the little I do know is that Marlin made a few runs of the .32-20 "family", including the .218 Bee, and .25-20, in I guess the 1980's or so. You see them on occasion for sale used, but most hang on to them if they were the type inclined to get one in the first place.

I think it was an 1894CCL. Octagon barrel special run. I think from around 2005. The second run, of the 1894CL's, ended production in 2007.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Good Morning! Since I asked this question, I have found info that indicates it might be a "Ducks Unlimited" issue. The one I saw in passing was selling for $700 or best offer. No lookers while I was at the show. Also this definitely had a pistol grip checkered stock. As I was not interested in this area, I missed it!
