Hey Y'all, I just got back from 3 days of shooting at the Australian Lever Action National Championships here at my home range in Perth.
Three different events shot over three days, rimfire, centerfire, and classic caliber with between 60 - 80 shooters in each event. I managed to pick up a rimfire silver medal in B grade with my stumpy 39A, and a centerfire bronze in B grade using my handloads with home cast bullets and home made gaschecks. I thought that was not too shabby considering it was my first attempt at the Lever Action Nationals and I went in totally unprepared.
Next year will be way out in the middle of the outback and I'll hopefully get there to try again.
The camera didn't get much of a workout, but here are a couple of pics I did take.

For rimfire I used my 39A with a Williams FP and a front post, although a Lyman 17 will be going on the front real soon.
For centerfire I used my 1894 Cowboy with Lyman 66 and Lyman 17 sights,
and for classic caliber I used my 1894 in 32-20 with factory sights.
