Morning on the J Bar T
I snapped this with my cellphone camera just before the sun peeked over the horizon this AM.

Jim, Nice pic but when you are looking at that sun, imagine that about 1200 miles in that exact direction, I am awake and have been working in this ****hole for 3 hours already!JimT wrote:I snapped this with my cellphone camera just before the sun peeked over the horizon this AM.

(kind of looks like a nuke going off!

Nice pic Jim. Sunrise at my place occurs behind the barn and out of sight.
Sunset is viewed out over the pasture and is often spectacular. (But, the earth sciences class ruined most of them for me as they explained that "dust" thing that actually causes the beautiful colors!)

Thank you Jim for sharing, I have lived a sheltered life with exposure to only Hawaiian sunsets until recently on my Texas Safari these pictures taken from the south side of bunkhouse at the AOA Ranch in Hondo, Texas, very beautiful in it's own unique way.

Beautiful pics. I am working on looking for a place that has a little spread. Will be a while before I find one with the current housing market but I will. Nice place Jim T. just what I am looking for.

I am very sorry we didn't get to stick around and meet you sir. It is my loss. Perhaps yet one of these days .....GANJIRO wrote:Thank you Jim for sharing, I have lived a sheltered life with exposure to only Hawaiian sunsets until recently on my Texas Safari these pictures taken from the south side of bunkhouse at the AOA Ranch in Hondo, Texas, very beautiful in it's own unique way.

When people tell me that they are not sure that God exists, I tell them to just walk outside and look up -- you can see Him. We are so fortunate to have this big beautiful world that He created for us to enjoy. He really does good work and one only needs to open one's eyes and take a look around. Honest to goodness, we are blessed.

I must respectfully disagree, the loss being all mine, but I look forward to the day we remedy this maybe on a future hog hunt, or you could take Lady Twyla on a nice Hawaiian vacation.JimT wrote:I am very sorry we didn't get to stick around and meet you sir. Maybe its the way I was raised or maybe its just in my blood from some other reason, but THAT is my idea of a sunrise/sunset. I love the snow----nice pics ---------------Sixgun BTW--heres one I took while elk hunting in Colorado. You can't see much, but the elevation is a little over 10K with a majestic view.Old Time Hunter wrote:Wisconsin sunrise...or sunset in Winter:
