There is a story in the industry that goes something like this. THS (ammo company, etc) owners went on an extended vacation and left their manager in charge. Upon return, their files were rifled through and their contacts and recipes for products were compromised. Missing was their manager and a few other employees. The manager formed his own company with his former co-workers that now became management in BVAC, with BVAC mimicing a lot of the same ammo products as his former employer, and marketing to his former employers wholesalers and retail buyers. Once BVAC was up and running the new owner sold the assets but left himself as a consultant in the deal. Pro-Grade Ammo Group now owns the company DBA BVAC. They load a lot of Nosler and Speer bullets into cartridges.

This doe not mean anything in particular. However, to me personally, the questionable ethics of the former owner/now consultant of BVAC coupled with the fact that they do not have anything so unique or so well priced I couldnt get it somewhere else leave me patronizing other businesses and not giving BVAC consideration.

without prior knowledge of how the business came about, I have shot quite a few boxes of the 180-gr JHP .357, and found them to be the most accurate off-the-shelf round for my .357 baby rolling block, shooting flat to 100 yds.

There's a pretty little gun.

:)
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Cheaper Than Dirt Guns has BVAC as their store brand, I didn't know it was sold anywhere else.

I don't know about the problems in the company, I picked up some for the .375 H&H this spring. shoots great and is pretty hard on targets. :) .http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM770-1.html

There may not be anything wrong with the ammo at all, but the story about how the company came into business makes me ill. I wont be buying anymore of their ammo unless someone can refute Joe's story pretty strongly.

Oh there's more but I'm not going to publically trash the whole business. I don't mind sharing the story by phone or PM if anyone must know. I have no idea of the quality of products and don't pretend to know. I do know of a series if questionable acts of some players involved. Even that may never effect us 3rd party individuals, but I personnally chose to associate with those I deem to be trustworthy and of good character.
