Went to the range mostly to test a few loads for the 1895 Marlin. This gun used to be my brother's gun but he never liked the recoil...said it was the fault of my reloads.
Shot two different loads of .458 speer 400 gr fn. 1100 = 1400 fps. Didn't photograph the targets. Not very impressive groups...could still hit steel off hand at 200 yards...(big steel )
Also shot my East German Makarov and my smith and wesson Model 65. Like the feel of the Smith better...but shoot the Mak better.
Nice long conversation with a fellow who wanted to tell me about his .22 lr AR s. One set up like a suppressed M-4 with interchangeable optics. the other was set up as a HBAR...with a lens in the small apperature!...never saw anything like that!
