Hitting a 2 liter bottle from 150 yds free-standing is in the realm of outstanding in my book!

Re: Took the 464 Out Again Today
In truth, I've been on a real roll of good fortune for my family lately. My daughter landed a dream job in HR for the University of Colorado, Denver and she is now sitting pretty for as long as she wants, my son passed his 'Comps III' where his PhD Dissertation topic and outline was approved by the committee.allhands wrote:Hitting a 2 liter bottle from 150 yds free-standing is in the realm of outstanding in my book!
He gets a raise and moves from Grad Student to Doctoral Candidate so he is in fat city and all he has left is to complete the research, write up his dissertation, and defend it and he's a PhD, and my wife and I are leaving for Spain, Portugal, and Morocco this coming Thursday. My family is happy, healthy, and on top of the world right now so how could I feel anything but peace and tranquility.
And, it's at times like this when my head is clear and I'm at piece that I seem to be able to shoot the best. I've always got ideas and other thoughts in my head and being able to brush them aside at the range is truly peaceful. My favorite feeling is just clearing my mind and sighting down the barrel at an object, squeezing the trigger, and watching the bullet strike where I'm looking. When I can do that, everything else just falls into place.
