Post by hightime »

After thirty five years of owning a bigger boat for this, I've sold out. There's always a buddy who needs someone to help pay for fuel. Here's some pictures for ya'

Gichigami.
Second only to the salt pond near me. Would love to see it and wet a line someday.

I'm used to the ocean so the thought of such a large body of water being freshwater boggles my mind. I've caught plenty Rainbows and Kokanees but never a Laker. For some reason I want to fish for Walleyes, Smallies, and Yellow Perch in the Great Lakes.
Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Sorry no warm water fish here. Maybe in the lower lakes. Lake Superior is cold and deep. We have king salmon, coho salmon, lake trout and brown trout, hering, smelt, white fish, burbot. Some pink salmon, some Atlantic.

There are some warmer waters along WI. South Shore where walleyes are caught. Of course you can go up the St; Louis river for great walleye fishing. That's right here in Duluth too. To the north we have thousands of inland lakes with walleye and northern fishing. Bass and panfish in some warmer lakes, but mostly that's more south of here.
