My opinion, for what it's worth, is anyone that lies and misleads to try to promote their viewpoint puts themselves below those who they are trying to denigrate. Anyone doing so loses all credibility in their overall views, and I feel about the same for anyone promoting such practices by forwarding such junk. Many likely forwarded such things believing them to be true, but have been unwitting accomplices for those that cook up such junk.

This sort of thing is one reason I tend to avoid politics, especially online. It seems all sides lie (equally in my view), and I lose all respect I have for them as individuals when they do so, whatever their intentions, and whether I ageee with them in most regards.

Not to argue, but I find that hard to believe. By the time someone has compromised their ideals, committed to support their financial backers, and submitted to the 'help' of the power elite, just so that they could get on a national ticket, let alone win under it, they've been so corrupted by the system that I consider that being elected to a national level office as prima facia evidence of being guilty of corruption.

I think we're talking two different classes of politician... the two top "national" offices, and those of more local import... US Representatives and to a lessor degree, US Senators. I've read of, and have met a few of the latter, and tend to agree with Grizz... there are a FEW that are less than totally corrupt. But agree with COSteve, the vast majority (especially the more than single termers), have likely sold their souls...
