Moose hunt video with Marlin 30-30 link.

Found this on Marlin Owners, 336 forum. Big download and the best part is last 6 or 7 minutes. Hope link works. This just verifies what most of us already know about the 30-30 and 32 Special. A lot more gun than it is given credit for.

Tested link and it works.

It truly was amazing...it not only proved the 30-30's power...but what the proper ammo for the job can do in the hands of a good shot...I cant wait to see chapter two where John Wilson takes on the grizzly with his 336....those Buffalo Bore 190's made a believer out of me so far

Interesting, but too many danged commercials and repetitive BS for me. The old .30-30 will do'er but I'd feel better with a .45-70 or .45-90 and Barnes 300 gr. TSX bullet loaded by me. :)

He mentions Buffalo Bore load. Good vid - thanks for posting!

The 30 Winchester will definately do the job if you put it in the right place.

The only thing you get with more caliber is longer range, flater shooting, deeper penetration - but if the bullet gets to the vitals and drops them, well, it is what it is!

Wow! 30-30 requires a hunter and marksman. Answers the commonly seen question. Is my 7 mag, or 30-06, or (you name the gun and caliber) good enough for bear or moose or whatever. 30-30 will do :D

Cant watch the vid but Ive had good luck with 30-30 on game and predators its hard to beat a light weight saddle gun for carry. I wouldnt hesitate to grab one if I had to go in a north slope alder thicket looking for elk and finding something else. danny

I didnt know what to think when the presenter started to sniff his underwear and went on to promote a wonder clothes washing detergent. That was bizarre.

He was very close when he took the shot but it probably says more about the guide and his skills at getting real close.

Definitely impressive how fast the moose went down, but what put me off is how they started hooting and hollaring while the moose was still staggering around and then laying on the ground alive. Seems like it would be more respectful to at least wait until the moose is dead before all that nonsense.
