Indian chief "Two Eagles" was asked by a White Government official, "You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress and the damage he's done. Considering all these events, where did the white man go wrong?"

After a minute or so the Chief replied, "When White Man find land, Indians running it. No taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water; women did all the work, medicine man free. Indian man spend all day huntin' and fishin', all night havin' sex."

Then with a big smile he said, "Only White man dumb enough to think he can improve system like that!"

Not true. Indians had hunger, disease, short life spans. Had to carry water, cold showers, go outside in winter to relieve themselves, etc. It was worth the trade.

I am an American Indian. Bagtic's observations are correct.

Wife & I are both attorneys & my kid is a NCAA varsity athlete. I admit we have benefited from the White man's culture. Thank you.

Nonetheless, I'd return to aboriginal ways without a moment's hesitation.
