Re: Flying Anvils
Shooting anvils has been around a long time. It is said that many an anvil was shot for 4th of July celebrations back in the day. There are stories but I have never read an actual account of someone being hurt during an anvil shoot. The older ones were made of many parts but the best I have ever seen is an anvil cracked, never broken. Sad that safety weenies have taken the fun out of things.

Re: Flying Anvils
I have a friend in western Oklahoma that, among other things, shoots anvils. It's interesting to watch (from a distance).

IIRC someone posted something about that here a few years ago and included some liinks to some youtube clips. It looks like fun, but then someone told me all little boys like to make things fly through the air.
