Any input for this sight?
I am thinking on mounting it on my Marlin 45-70. I just saw it in this picture and it looked really interesting. Any input or specs about it would be appreciated!

Dunno, but I like it! Wonder if they'd have one for the odd-duck early Rossi metric dovetails (.390-ish)?

My thoughts as well. Can't comment on them as I've never had one. Usually the ladder isn't marked for elevation. They leave that up to you.Little Doc wrote:Smith, Tempe, Az

Re: Aftermarket mystery ladder sight?
Smith Ladder Sight, Brownells has them.
I have this on my 30-30 Winchester Legacy 26" octagon barrel, also on my H & R 38-55 Buffalo Target, & my Marlin 95 Cowboy Classic 45-70.
A very nice sight indeed, kinda on the pricey side. I bought mine pre-owned so it kept the cost down. To get the sight for the Handi-38-55 I bought a used 45-70 barrel it had the Smith sight attached. I swaped out the stock sight on the 38-55, and then sold the 45-70 barrel for the same price I paid for the barrel-sight combo. I got the sight for nothing.
