OT: More Elk Stag Grips -- for a S&W Schofield
Since Elk Stag grips seem to be of interest again here, I thought I'd post some pix of my newest set from Bill (Sack) Peterson's website.
These are on my (Uberti-made) S&W Schofield .38... I think these make the 4th set of elk grips that I have gotten from Bill... I just love the fit, feel and look of these, and he does great work.
I think if I could add elk stag inserts to a rifle stock, I just might find a way to do so!!!
Tight groups,
Old No7

Bill did me up a set for my BearCat, this past Spring - they fit like they grew there.
I've really come to prefer the lighter tone of the Elkhorn Stag to the darker barque of Sambar - it even matches the stags on some older Browning knives I have, and a few others.

Old No. 7, you got excellent taste ..... a Schofield with stag grips!!! Very nice indeed.

Those are nice. I wonder what they might look like on a S&W new model three ( Beretta Laramie ). My grips are a bit slimmer and rounded on the bottom.
