How much is this Win worth?

Post by ladder13 »

This is a Win 94 AE SRC 44 mag. Only the gun, no box. The serial number is 65xxxxx, made sometime after 1982? It's in great shape high 98% to 99%. 20 inch barrel. Tang safety, no X bolt safety. Thanks for advice.

ladder13,

That is a nice-looking rifle. You are correct, that rifle was made after 1982...like way after 1982. The tang safety is found on the much-later Model 94s. With a serial number over 6.5 million, it would have to be made during the final years of AMERICAN production, circa 2004-to-2006. The value, I imagine, is at least a few hundred dollars.

The tang safety came along in 2003, and the Model 94 was discontinued in 2006, so this one falls in that window.

My 2011 copy of "Blue Book Of Gun Values" shows the Model 94 Standard Model at $425 (100%), $350 (98%) $295 (95%).

Prices can vary by region. Here in the far north of California it would probably sell in the $350-$400 range.
