OT - Prayer request - update

Found out tonight at Y2K's Boy Scout Troop meeting that one of the boys in the Cub Scout Pack, a Webelos scout, has an inoperable brain tumor. He's taken a turn for the worse; it is not a matter of "if" now, but a matter of "when". He's only 10 years old. Please say a prayer for him and his family, to ease the suffering of both... :cry:

Jay, that is terribly sad news, sometimes life just don't seem fair.

My sister in law, whose a teacher, just had a brain tumor removed about six months ago. Prognosis isn't good. Her type of cancer, Anaplastic Oligoastrocytoma, is a re-occurring type and as with this Webelo it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. I pray for the boy and his family. As a parent I can't imagine anything worse.

Update:

Ezra Perez lost his battle with brain cancer Friday morning. The service was this morning. I had to miss it as I am on a plane right now. The family asked that everyone attend wear bright colors to celebrate Ezra's life rather than mourn his passing. He was a brave scout to the very end.

Please continue your prayers for the family. I pray that I never experience the pain of losing a child. I don't think I am strong enough for that.

Hobie, can you move this to the Memorial section?
