Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
To me, the best shows are on the History Channel...
Swamp people,.....
Mounted in Alaska...They just mounted a $30,000 marco polo sheep...
Top Shot...
Ax men, Swamp Loggers...
American pickers and Pawn stars...
The only network show I will watch is NCIS
Our cable provider took away the outdoor channel and the sportsman channel...
Use to watch those channels exclusively.....PMO

Swamp People..."Choot'em! Choot dat Gator!"
Ax Men....Shelby "Snake Bite" Stanga and pee Willy...."He' we go PawPaw!"
Love the swamp, born and raised there myself. They are right about one thing; there are things in the swamp at night that will make a strong man die from fright.
We never miss the reruns of Hee Haw on RFD-TV. I also like to watch Dual Survival.

Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
"Top Shot", "Pawn Stars", and "American Restoration" on the History Channel. The used to air "Tales of the Gun" which was just superb.
On network TV, I like "Blue Bloods" and "Hawaii 5-0". Both are good action/drama's, and I'll support anything Tom Selleck is in - not only because I like his acting, but I like his politics and love his stand on firearms rights!
I have to admit my favorite show on TV right now though is "Modern Family" on ABC, and I like "The Middle" as well. These are two great comedies. Besides, Patricia Heaton (star of "The Middle") is, along with Selleck, one of the few open conservatives in Hollywierd. And let's face it, Sofia Veraga is not hard on the eyes!

I think it's interesting that none of the shows you list are actually 'history'. Maybe in 50 years.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I dont watch a ton of TV but when I do have a few min for TV I usually go into my DVR and watch The Rifleman, Bonanza and Gunsmoke......and sometimes throw in a little Lone Ranger or something.
New shows I like are American Pickers and Pawn Stars here and there. I watch Sons of Guns cause I know the guys there. I like documentaries and sports too.

Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
I prolly watch too much TV I like most of the crime shows. I care for none of the reality stuff, even if it is outdoors related (well, maybe SwampDudes). I watch BBC news and PBS news. Thank God Oprah is gone...makes the whole of the airwaves less smelly.

Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
the only show I have been watching religiously is the rerun of The Revolution on Military History channel.
Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
I am not a fan of the so-called reality shows but watch some just to see the scenery. I watch some hunting shows, kinda like North to Alaska, and have always liked documentaries. I watch some news programs, mostly on FNC. Other than that TV is just depressing and some is only good for putting me to sleep.

American Loggers, Ice Road Truckers, and Swamp Loggers. Used to like to watch The Girls Next Door before it went off the air a year or so back.

Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
Haven't had access at home to broadcast or cable or satellite television for 23 years, and haven't really missed it.
Between a 60-65 hour/week job, livestock, a garden, rental home next door, and four kids, none of us have TIME to watch any television. We do watch a Netflix on some fridays and saturdays though.
If I had access to the History Channel, I'm sure I'd watch it, as well as some of the 'outdoor' hunting/shooting shows.
I see LOTS of patients who don't understand why "I just can't seem to lose weight", but when I ask them about exercise, they say they just can't fit it in to their busy schedule. After finding out they only work 40-50 hours a week, have no kids at home, and watch an average of at least 7 hours of television per week, I just have to quietly roll my eyes and move on...

Re: Whats your favorite tv show..Mine are on the history Channel
As a kid from the 50's, TV is my 1st love. But it better be entertaining, I'd rather read the news, sort out the facts from the hyperbole and reach my own conclusions. As in books and music, I'm far too eclectic to narrow the list down to any degree of a manageable size! With a satellite dish on my truck, I go to sleep and wake up with the TV on!

It's not a TV show, but any movies about 1938 vintage with Edward G. Robinson.........I'll be there in the front row. For a small man no bigger than a tall stump, he could sure play some tough characters.

I think all of you would like Justified. The 2nd season just ended, the 1st season is on dvd from Net Flix. It is based on a couple of novels by Elmore Leonard about a US Marshall station around Harlon County, Kentucky. It has a real western flavor to it.

This thread started before I had a certan conversation with Blaine.
After the converse, I would suggest, if you have Directv.
Game of Thrones, hard to come into in the middle; but you should be able to access back episodes.
