I figured with the possibility of the end of the world today, why not take a range trip?
Spent a lot of time shooting .22 and a few rounds out of the 6.5 Swede. The Boy got to take his birthday present to the range, a brandy new S&W Sigma 9mm (hey it was his choice, not mine! ) and I tried out an old Bushnell .22 scope on the BL22.
Everything was cut short by a threatening storm so I didn't get pics (or recover the targets) but I suppose not having the targets or pics isn't the end of the world...

The Sigma may have been his choice, but I've heard good stuff about this most recent version of the Sigma: that it's much improved over the old version that some of the S&W employees had nicknamed the "Smegma."
A good day at the range is better than waiting for TEOTWAWKI at home!
