I`ve always found the flamboyant cloths that some wore were pretty cool, here`s a few pictures.

'Flamboyant' outfits are always cool, regardless of genre. Probably because they reflect confidence, sometimes practicality, and an 'enjoy-life-while-you-can' outlook.
If a person can't 'play' a bit, they're missing out on alot of things.
One of the things our culture is losing is the spontaneous songs and dances that used to develop during work and play; ours are more orchestrated and commercialized now.

I'm no expert on him, but I'm always going through my Wild West magazines, and that first photo looks familiar. - DixieBoy
Yep that be him, he must of gone by that other name.
AJMD429, doesn`t seem to be much interest either that or i came across as arrogant which wasn`t my intention.
Sorry fellars, thought it was neat and let me tell ya it took some talkin to get Annie Oaktree to step in front of the camera.
For some reason i feel guilty about posting it now.
Oh well the world ends tomorrow anyway.

Pitchy-I hope I did not give you that impression with my response. I was chuckling as it seemed you had thrown your picture in among the other Old West photos to see if we would notice. You guys look great......wish I could get my wife into the SASS stuff. She loves her Rem. 870 and Ruger 10/22 though!

You know you wouldn't want to meet that dude in a dark alley. If you look close, you can see he has a total of 4 revolvers on him. Twenty four shots of 44 caliber is pretty formidible.

Yes, Guerrilla's had a habit of carrying several revolvers. In a book I have you can clearly see the cylinders are clearly loaded and ready for action.
One needs to remember that the attire worn at that time was purpose driven. So, personally, I wouldn't call it flamboyant. The only part that I could see as being so would be the color. The cowboys liked color. Even TR's outfit with all the fringe had a purpose. Now those coming to town and dressing like Maddox, well, that's a different story. Plus, I resemble that remark.
Old Savage, don`t know if its a Webley but it made my legs wobbly.
Cool pics guys thanks for posting, in the movie Tombstone there were some fancy outfits also.
It`s hard to find neat gear around here and some of those fringe coats and chaps are spendy.

The leather has a purpose when riding in country where the brush has thorns and spikes. The fancy outfits, well, maybe they just want to be noticed. I have got to to see some of the CAS events. I bet they would be fun for us spectators. (I am a real spec tator as I am almost 1/3 Irish and wear glasses)
