OT For you turkey hunters...

Post by pharmseller »

We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle, our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand, of overwhelming power on the other.

Them birds act like they have never been shot at. Hmmmmmmm. The birds here in my area took a real hard hit during the 2009-2010 winter snow storms. Gobblers are so thin I quit hunting. We need all the breeding stock we can get for a few years. I don't know what the ODNR says but I'm guessing the flock is down by 50 to 60% this year. All this years rain isn't going to help any either. I'm hoping we get some good hatches.

pretty cool video....some have pretty nice beards....

fattening one of them up for thanksgiving?

One of my hunting buddies had a flock that hung around his back yard....
We would drive 90 mile to hunt turkeys and come home with nothing,
to a flock of gobblers in his backyard....

Cool Turkeys and cool place.

Is that 'box' over where the deer were to protect blueberries or something? We've been thinking about building something like that.

They are some strange animals for sure. I've had them run away from me, even though i was 350+ yards away. Yet another time I literally almost stepped on one accidentally, one of a flock of about 30+.
Slow is just slow.
