Rossi has decided NOT to manufacture the "Trail Judge" they introduced at the SHOT Show this year. This was to be a 410 Gauge/.45 Colt "mare's leg" leveraction "handgun". See the attached story.
Not if the barrels rifled and it had .45 colt stamped on it. That's how the "JUDGE" pistol gets buy with it.

Proud to be Christian American and not ashamed of being white.
May your rifle always shoot straight, your mag never run dry, you always have one more round than you have adversaries, and your good mate always be there to watch your back.

Tell that to the ATF; they brought up the SBS issue with the Trail Judge.
Besides, it's a stretch to call what's in a Judge barrel "rifling," IMO. It certainly isn't enough rifling to develop any kind of accuracy in a Judge when firing 45 Colt, in my experience.

Might as well face it, you're addicted to guns . . .

it's my understanding this was an ATF conflict. This gun was listed in the 2011 Rossi Catalog as .410 shotgun ONLY (not .410/.45LC).
Even if the barrel is rifled, if you call it a 410 only it's still a shotgun. In this case an SBS.
Kid,
That don't stink. There's other options. Is what really stinks is the area at the bottom of the ocean when the "enlightened" one was dropped. ---------Sixgun
'Scuse me for asking, but what the heck do you do with these things? I handled what I think was a Rossi Trail Hand (for about a thou??!!) last year and just this week I played with a Henry .22 version. I couldn't figure them out. You can't shoulder the things. Do you hold it out there in front of you or something? It's too heavy and awkward doing that with your hands so far apart. Do you hold it down lower? A regular lever works well "from the hip" since you can put the butt against you and everything is steady, but not this kind of thing. I have to look at some old Steve McQueen TV shows maybe?
