Similar, but different...

Both are Yeast Spreads.
Vegemite is not as sweet as Kiwi Marmite, nor as strongly flavoured ad Brit Marmite.

I don't care for Vegemite at all. Tried it several times when I was in Australia, and it never grew on me. I'd rather lick the bottom of my shoe.

Fella's, for a top feed, the crusts off a loaf of fresh baked white bread spread with lashings of butter and Vegemite and slices of Beetroot. Puts hair on ya chest and a sparkle in ya eye. If you must you can add Swiss Cheese and Ham and toast it. Marmite is for pussies!

And to think, I've been pouring the trub from my fermenter down the drain.

I wonder what it takes to turn the trub into marmite?

I will give you all the trub from my fermenter if you acquire a taste for the stuff :wink: I just rinse mine out and pour it on the garden. I have no use for that stuff

To me, it smells like athlete's foot. Both are fungi, and I don't like the smell of either.
