"Paying it back" pronghorn hunt drawing results.

Post by jnyork »

Ok, as promised here are the lucky winners of the drawing for the guided pronghorn hunts in Wyoming. A little late, I just got back from our Friday shoot out at the range. :D

You guys now need to send me a PM telling me you intend to carry through with this, and ask any questions you may have. You need to go to the Wyoming Game and Fish website and start the application process for the tags, it is a random draw, with the exception of Old Ironsights the application period runs from January 1st to March 30th IIRC, and the sooner you get it in the better in case they have to send it back to you for clarification or contact you for some reason. Put in ONLY for the areas previously posted please. Congratulations and will be hoping to hear from all of you soon. Jerry

Well, cool. Took my first Mulie around there (somewhere) with a 99 in 1985 (IIRC) and it's only taken 26 years to go for the Pronghorn with a 99...

Looks like I've got a bunch of paperwork to do.

Guys, don't forget the "Hunter's Safety Card" requirements...

Woohoo! Thank you Jerry! I'll check into the application tonight or tomorrow. What are the odds of actually drawing a tag? I can't get on their website from here at work, it's blocked for some reason.

Fellers, on the G&F website there is a link to a page that tells you the odds on getting drawn in each area based on last year's draw.

WOW I got in, I really excited. I did a brief check of the WG&F web site but need to check into it further. I don't have a hunter safety card, not required in Texas because of my age, so I'll have to get a class set up.

Check your birth date. IIRC it's anyone born AFTER '64 that needs one (but check to make sure).

YOU are the guy that has to help the geezers. This was JN's idea so he can't bail on anything. :D

Well, assuming that we both get drawn by WFG I suppose us two "under 45ers" will get to be the O2 carriers...

Well I was looking at the Non-resident odds for the areas Jerry mentioned, and I'm not expecting to get drawn. Not without a couple years of preference points anyway. But hey, you never know!
