Post by Pete44ru »

Could this be the new, long-awaited, post-Remington purchase, Marlin-Baikal ?

Not unless it comes equipped with one of them Hollywood Starlets that you would see carrying something like that in one of those stupid shoot em up movies they make nowadays. :D

Accuracy must be limited, with that bipod attached to the barrel.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

It is not near as Pretty as a Winchester 94 to say the least, but that "Carry Handle" a foot above the rifle makes it look really Ugly !

Is that a Mattel? And what's that fragile-looking long tall bulky thingy sitting on top of a utilty fence post bullet pusher?

Anyway, "function is, as function does."

It ought be available in pink, tho. Y'know, just so's the color would match the overall design.

Not to mention what appears to be zero eye relief. :? Looks like someone threw it together for a picture.

I will!

It's a .22 so eye relief isn't super critical, the bi-pod looks like it was put on just for the pic (at least I hope so  ), the forearm looks like it would fit the hand or shooting bags reasonably well and the other ergonomics don't look too bad. According to EAA's website, the MSRP is $340 so I would expect a street price of around $300. Not bad IMO.

My main concerns would be parts availability if/when EAA drops the line and the trigger. The couple of Russian semi-auto .22s I've shot had less than desirable trigger pulls. And I'm not real picky about trigger pulls so that's saying something.
