This circle star badge dates from the 1890s-1900s. I thought y'all might want to see it. Authentic Texas Badges are getting very hard to come by. Bexar county's has San Antonio as the county seat.
Texas Ranger Walter Durbin was also a deputy sheriff of Bexar Co. about this time. He was also a Deputy U.S. Marshal and Sheriff of Frio Co. during his life.

I stayed a few days in the old Bexar County jail a year or so back. Of course it's a Holiday Day End Express now

If you ever make the drive to Corpus, Oakville has a neat jail, hanging tree, and great bbq, too.
Nice find
