OT- Changing a .pdf file to something else?
damienph sent me a .pdf of something he thought would be of interest to the board but couldn't get it to post.
Photobucket doesn't upload .pdf files and I can't figure out how to change it to a .jpeg or anything.
Any ideers?

Can you take a screenshot using printscreen and paintbrush and save it as an image.?

Personally, I had an issue or two with this download, but it works ok.

That would work. Or can you print it and scan the print? Most scanning software allows you to save as a .jpeg.deerwhacker444 wrote:Can you take a screenshot using printscreen and paintbrush and save it as an image.?

Lord I hate apple applications!! Especially because they are slow to load.
Try this:
Reduce the size of the PDF document so that you get it all on one page, or one page per one page....use F11 if you have to, to make it full screen and get rid of your toolbars. Hit the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. That copies the screen image to your computer as a picture file. Then paste into your favorite Microsoft Office application. I like to use Powerpoint because it can be "Saved As" a JPEG.
Troublesome to say the least. But all of the conversion applications just do the same thing...so unless someone has a better program...and I've searched hi and low....this is just as easy as downloading some unknown application which just saves the file as a picture file instead of a searchable file.

Thanks guys!
I can't print and scan right now since I think I'm out of ink. What I wound up doing was opening with the GIMP photo editing software and converting to a .jpeg. I'm not sure it's big enough to really read but I'm about to find out.

Some day soon I am going to get the picture thing figured out. I can resend it tomorrow in a jpeg if that would work.

I see now that you got it posted.

There's a bunch of free apps to convert .pdf to MSWord's .doc available. Google showed me THESE.
