The view from the mountain top. I know it isn't a mountain some places but it is here.

Nice pic. It looks like a nice place to go hunting. The nice thing about that, over Alaska or Montana is
that you do not have to travel too far to get there, when you call it home.
Again nice pic.

Hey Hobie,
I've seen that view quite a few times on the way to Monterey in Highland County to deer hunt. Always beautiful, and looks different each time over the mountain. Kind of a rugged drive at 4 in the morning, though, as on some of those curves your rear bumper nearly touches the front bumper:).

Looks awesome, Hobie.

Raveman, I get vertigo just looking at pics of the Alps! Beautiful, nonetheless.

I've been migrating eastward, I'm halfway round, but @ 60, I ain't sure I have enough time to make the other half! God blessed Texas and I'm lucky enough to live there!

Hobie, Were there battles in the area? Looks a lot like the Pa. mountains.

Ravenman, Those pics took my breath away. :D very nice. Do you live in the area? If so, do you have room for me? :D (I don't take up much space, but my guns will need a room with a dehumidifier)----------Sixgun :D

Very true Ravenman.

The west does have some very dramatic scenery. But I've always thought the east (Pennsylvania in particular ;-)) feels more "comfortable".

As proud as we are of our "mountains" in PA, we have some of the lowest in the Appalachian system. Also, our highest point is lower than the lowest point in Colorado.

But as Hobie says, It is home! :-)
