Went to a nearby show looking for .375 Winchester( and other oddball) stuff today. Came home empty handed.
A little bonus though. Handled my first Rossi Ranch hand.
Fit and finish were first rate. I didn't cycle the action as it had a zip tie through the lever.
This one was chambered in .45 Colt.
Price was $469.00plus tax.
I would have bought it if i'd had the cash. Wasn't to be today.
Plus I'd rather have one in .44-40 or .44 Magnum ( just personal preference).
Just looks like fun!!

I'm seriously thinking of one. Had some issues with the Rossi 92's in .45 Colt not extracting/ejecting. They replaced the rifles at the warranty station and now no problems. I'd like one in .45 Colt.

gonna get one to carry on my four wheeler......just because, not because its practical, just neat!

uncomfortable? yes, i agree, but we all have to make sacrifices.... i am gonna get one ; )
I wanted to be first in line for one, but i felt compelled to buy a Muzzleloader instead today. ( http://www.levergunscommunity.com/viewt ... =1&t=30938 ). I figured i'll use the ML for recreation and to fill the freezer every year for a few years, and the Ranch Hand would likely end up a cool conversation piece after a couple of trips to the range (but its still on the want list -- its just gonna take a few more months for me though).
Everyone has told me they are releasing the 45 first , with the other calibers to follow soon (again, bummer for me because .45 is the one i crave) ---- they'll still be out there in 6 months though ---- i cant wait to hear a report from someone shooting a fullhouse .44 Mag through one of these, or a hot loaded .45 ---- that would be a wrist cracker. Me thinks it will be more fun with CAS spec loads
I have one in .45 and have modifed the extractor, replaced the plastic follower, and removed the safety.
Shooting wise I like CAS loads up to 800 fps with 200 gr. lead. I am disapointed that Scholfield rounds won't load thru the loading gate. One at a time from up top is OK.
I'm still tinkering with the ejector, went to a lighter spring, and it leaves the empties on the carrier. May have to go back to the factory spring.
Is it fun to shoot? Absolutely! I think I'd also like one in .38/.357 If it will load and cycle with both cartridges.
