Hornady 338 flex tips in 33 wcf

Post by jjh501 »

A few months ago, there was a topic about using the hornady flex tips in the 33 wcf on this forum. How did they shoot? Did they expand adequately at the lower mv?

I haven't ever used them other than in load testing. They don't load well unless you reverse the follower and glue a .348 case head into it. I had trouble with them hanging up in the gate when the tip engaged the rim of the follower. Some day I'll cut off some Barnes 225 TSXs and give them a go, too.
