OT Prayer request

Post by JReed »

I am asking for some prayers for my cousin Josh. He tried to end his life this past weekend his younger brother found him at home. He has been going through a lot this past few years with an inoperable tumor. Between the pain and trying to be a full time student he must have felt it was to much. We are still trying to sort out the details. He is out of the hospital now and at home with his brother and my uncle. Out of all the others in my generation (3 cousins all brothers and my sister and I) I always felt he was the most stable and put together. So this was quite a shock to us all.

Done with urgency. My uncle took his life earlier this year. Next to my dad and grandpa he was my best friend, shooting buddy and hunting buddy. I can't know exactly how you feel in this situation, but I do know the general direction you are coming from. I also know how it affects every person involved in the situation. I hope things will get better soon. Know that I am praying for you.

It's hard sometimes for us to know or understand another's troubles, even when we're close to them. Giving it to the ONE who knows and understands all is the best we can do.

Thanks all for the prayers. As the dust has settled a bit it has come to light that he had become addicted to the pain killers they had him on which greatly added to his depression. Now he has the long road of over coming his addiction but also of how to manage his pain with out using pain killers all while getting the help he needs to treat his depression.

Thank you all again for your prayers and kind words.
