who makes Euroarms 1873s? How good are they?

I have a chance to buy a Euro arms 1873 44-40. I have never heard of them and wanted a Uberti. Are they good? Do they make there own or get them from somebody else?

I bought this 0.357 Euroarms 1873 carbine,used,in 1988.

Since then it has digested thousands of rounds, both smokeless and black powder, without a hiccup.
Headspace is still good, action is butter-smooth and the blueing is good as new. I don't know what their quality is like now but back then it was first class.

Some Euroarms 73s are advertised as Euroarms/Uberti and some as Armi San Paolo, especially the ones in 44/40, either way they seem well liked by those that have them.

If the price is right I'd go for it!

The early euroarms rifles had a different twist than most of the other replica's. Waters commented on it when he used one for a test gun for 44-40 in the 80's. If I remember right they are 1-16 twist rather than the 1-36 that was standard in most other guns. Other than that they are as good as any others.

thanks guys, what about parts, are they the same as the Ubertis or will every thing be a little different? Oh, yeah, its about 10 years old, very good cosmeticly, perfect mechanicaly, about 500.00

Parts will interchange within limits. Some might need just a little fitting.
