A Worthy Adversary
Too bad these critters are gone. How fun would it be to take one on with a nice big double rifle.

I still don't think Margot Macomber could have killed it with a Mannlicher 6.5mm
Re: A Worthy Adversary
I think you're getting a bit beyond the large caliber double here. I'm thinking maybe a LAW, or at least a 40mm gernade.

Too bad the curators wouldn't likely let you stand behind it with a 'triumphant hunter' look, holding your favorite rifle...
...or compound bow...
Seriously, they could probably make some money doing that!
Maybe an idea for their 'suggestion box'.

No. 1 Wonder what the fee would be to bag one.
No. 2 They might be protected.
No. 3 Ted, it might bag you.
When I was in about 5th grade (bout when Ritchie and the Fonz were operating) (Winter Park, FL days) I did a report on the Triceratops. I drew one on black poster paper with some paints that were sort of flourescent. Whole class thought it was really cool.
I've never forgotten the animal and looking at one sure has to make you wonder how jaw-dropping it would be to spend a week in his part of the forest.

Hankster's got me thinking about the Photoshop idea. I've got it on a disc here somewhere but have never used it. May have to give it a go!
