Happy Canada Day
Today we celebrate 143 rd birthday. Still just a kid when you look at the age of other countries, but I 'm pretty proud of what we have done so far.

I love you guys....I hope you get some or all of your gun rights back pretty soon. I have to admit that I won't visit due to the handgun laws.....

Well, Happy Birthday Canada. Or should that be Happy Undependence Day. You managed to keep a better relationship with Great Britain when you parted ways than we did. Heck, it took two wars to get them off our back, and then a couple more before they admitted they really needed our help with the first one.

Re: Happy Canada Day
Thanks guys, I was working over the holiday and forgot my computer! The oilpatch never sleeps.
Both our countries are blessed. We may have concerns and some crooked politicians but the level of freedom and oppurtunity still makes North America the prefered place for legal and illegal immigration.
Its interesting that we are so similiar in our beliefs and lifestyles but still have identifiable national differences that we fiercely defend.
God Bless America, the second best place to live (sorry I just couldn't resist).

We sure do enjoy Canada, especially the Western Provinces. Like many places in the Americas, carrying a handgun is not at all a necessity. I seldom bother carrying a weapon, despite being permitted to do so by law. San Francisco and LA are exceptions to that rule, though.
