Hi Guys
I am finding the plastic butt pad on my BL22 slides about on my shoulder during cocking. I would like to replace it with a rubber version but cant seem to find any details of a direct replacement.
Does anyone know if a rubber butt pad from a Marlin or other lever gun would fit? Alternatively, is there anything I can put on the plastic pad to make it less slippery?
Cheers
Dan

Ok, now that I have that out of my system...

Probably any aftermarket rubber buttpad is going to be a grind to fit proposition and offhand I can't think of any other manufacturer pad that would be a direct fit either. And any Marlin or Winchester .22 buttplate that might fit would be hard plastic so you're back to square one.
Hogue maybe?

If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.

Cheers.
Managed to find a UK supplier who does a grind to fit one, will probably go with that.

Pachmayer makes stick on "cheek" pads to place on the buttstock if you have problems with recoil bruises on you cheek from firing magnum rounds. Not too expensive either. You might consider gluing a thin one over the existing buttplate. 1/4" thickness wouldn't effect the pull too much.

Cheers Mark
A member on one of the UK forums is sending me some thin adhesive backed rubber, I'm going to try that first and see how I get on.
