Marlin R.A. Cal 30-30
A friend showed me his Marlin 336 and the chambering is marked as: R.A. Cal 30-30. What does this mean? I have never seen a 30 WCF marked this way.

I've owned 336s from the '60s that were marked 336 R, 336 R.A., and 336 R.S. They were all standard carbines, so heck if I know why Marlin seemed to go off-beam at that time.

R.A. = repeating arms?
