OT - Savage makes their bolt guns chambered for 300 Savage..

I may be one of the few who didn't know this, but I was just purusing the bud's site and going down their extensive listing of Savage rifles. And then I saw them - several offerings in 300 Savage. Cool! I didn't know they chambered their current guns for this caliber.

I bought a used 722 Remington in 300 Savage a while back - put a Williams WGRS peep on it and still need to take it to the range to try out the loads I have. A classic type bolt gun in a classic chambering.

I've always been fascinated by the .250 and .300 Savage rounds. I've passed, and later regretted doing so, on several Model 99's and even a Winchester 70 that was chambered in .250 Savage.

While I give high marks to Savage for keeping this noble round alive, I can never forgive them for discontinuing the 99.

I didn't see a 250 Savage... that would be something there - I think I'd have to get one of those. They have the 257 Bob I think though.
