OT - Hope you guys up north are doing okay!

Post by Ysabel Kid »

Can we get a shout out to confirm our lever-brothers up north are surviving the blizzard! Not sure how much more of this "global warming" you all can take! Quick posts, in the following format:

Location
Inches of snow in the last two weeks
Low temperatures

Here, I'll give it a whirl, though I am NOT trying to rub anything in.

Fort Mill, SC
3/4" with 1.5" of ice 1/29-1/30. Rain since then.
27 degrees

STAY WARM!!!

Manistee, Michigan 4 miles inland from Lake Michigan
2 inches snow
Feb 6, about zero degrees

The lake effect snow machine this year has been AWOL :D

It's only February, though.................
I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.

Southeast PA, near the DE state line
Gotta be 22" on the ground, about 13" of it from yesterday
24 degrees

We got a lot of snow, but it's melting already. The snow that was on the ground from the last storm flattened out, which is the typical trend for this area. Snow falls, sun comes out and melts most of it away. There sure are some big piles from shoveled sidewalks, though.

Green Bay, Wi

4.1" snow yesterday, not a bad winter overall. Much less snow than the last 2 years. Someone above is taking it easy on us this year, and I thank him or her! Maybe a foot on the ground.

Wierd storm:

The smallest state in the US (RI)

Northern section: 3" snow

Central/Metropolitan section: (maybe) 2"

Southern/shore : 8"

Everything froze up overnight, local streets were a skating rink for the early AM rush hour ( I only watched, didn't participate) - but all is wet or dry pavement this noontime (36 degrees F.).

York Pa.
38 inches in Feb
Lows of around 14 but a 40 mph wind pushed that to a few below zero.

All is good. God is in control.

Kid,
We are having the blast of our lives! This is great. Just look what I did today when I got home from work. As I said in another post, I strongly dislike my neighbors who are a couple of hundred yards to my left. Yea, my wife's sister who is nosier than a cat. So..........I fired up the Kubota and built this wall of snow so they can't peek over at me.

I gotta stop being so spiteful........but.........it sure is fun :D You stay warm and toasty down there and say "Hi" to Al Gore for me. :D ----------Sixgun

Soap Lake, WA. About in the middle of the state.
No snow.
Average day time temps 40-50, night time 35
We deserve a bare winter compared to the last couple we've had.

I'm about dead center of Massachusetts and my wish finally came true.
We got almost a half inch of snow yesterday, and the rest fell in somebody else's back yard.
Not much at all in the last week or so and temps mostly in the 20's to 30's daytime.
In fact, I've only missed going to the range one week so far this winter.

I'd rather be gloating about high wages, low taxes, and no gun laws though.

No I don’t shovel with a broom. :)
The broom is for de-snowing the vehicles. My snow blower and
I have become best of friends over the past week or so.
