Howdy folks!
I just ordered my first levergun ... a Cimarron ElDorado in .357.
Does anyone here own one?
If so, can you maybe give me some feedback on what they like/dislike about it? For example, does it have any problems cycling .38's?, etc..
I don't know anything specific about this model so I can't comment on it. However if the one you have coming has wood as nice as the one in the picture ... wow.

G'day Dino,
Looks like the new Chiappa with upgraded finish. Had 2 Rossi 92's in .357 mag.
The first wouldn't feed at all so it was send back to the Importer, the replacement wouldn't feed .38 special cases but loves .357 mag cases with a short round nose bullet. Also replaced action springs with a Lee Gunslinger spring kit which smoothed the action out a treat. Would also suggest you get a copy of Nate Kiowa Jones (Stevesgunz.com)) DVD if nothing more than to familiarise yourself with it's workings, worth the purchase price in lack of grief in the first teardown.
Cheers,

I never have shot a 'large loop' levergun before, so don't know how I'd like that. I wish there were more affordable 'slightly larger' levers that would do well with large or gloved hands, but not the huge loops you see sometimes.
Let us know how you like it... ( ...RANGE REPORT...! )

First of all don't spin cock it for real unless you have it modified, the shells drop out on your feet. They are a real nice gun and the 45 Colt's do a good job with cast. Mine will shoot into 3" at 1oo yards with the factory sights. After shooting it for a while I have yet to find anything the large loop lever is actually good for but it looks neat.
