1911 Book
Thanks to Wind, I have a companion for my Para Ord 1911. Now, with two really nice 1911s, one would think I could have all sorts of fun improving, and smoothing them out, but I am as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to 1911s....is there a CURRENTLY available book on the order of 1911s For Dummies, or something like it that the ignorant newbie would be able to follow?

Re: 1911 Book
Since I currently have an advanced case of 1911-itus, I've been poking around the web. What are you looking to do?
If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.

Try this place. Click on the top link and download the operating 1911. You can remove parts one at a time and it allows you to see all the parts functioning. This was a big help to me.

Blaine at the next gun shop buy yourself the reprint of the USA or USN/USMC 1911 manual....they are still pretty darn informative...
