Howdy fellas.
Well I finally had a chance to load up some rounds and try her out at the range. It was a crappy day for it though, wind and rain! Kept everyone else away though so at least it was quiet. She shot great at 50meters and also at 100meters off the bench with the Williams peep. I wasn't suprised at the accuracy as I have heard a ton of good things about the Marlins accuracy.
The load I used was: Remington brass, remigton LR primers, 47.0 grains of ADI 2208 (renamed one of your Hodgen ones over there, its made here locally though), and a 265grain Hornady interlock pill. OAL to the cannelure for slight roll crrimp. The loads had a stout recoil, shook some fillings loose in my mouth
Summing up, it shoots great and I would certaintly feel comfortable using it down here chasing sambar around....

Congratulations on finding a really good load for that .444. My mid 80s .444 shoots very well with the LE 265 FTX grainer also. Those two Hornady loads here are very similar, the LE and LM.
