Marlin 30-30

I saw this Trapper length 30-30 on gunbroker. Anyone have one or shot one. Kind of pricey but another one lists in the high $700.

That is an awful lot of money for a 336. Marlin is about to come out with another one you might be interested in, the 336BL. Laminated pistol grip stock, 18.5 inch blued barrel. Looks like it will be right at $500.

Image.

EDIT: It's $501 at RRA Arms and $507 at www.sportingarms.com I don't think the factory has released any of these yet. There is also a matching 1895GBL.

Yeah that sounds too high. I'd go for that one shown too - very nice.

I like the idea of the one Warhawk posted for 500 bucks ------ or buy a Wally world 336 for low coin and cut it .still hard to beat 500 bucks though, a new Wally 336 is 300-something plus gunsmithing, then it still has a birch stock --- so 500 for the big loop Marlin from the factory would be excellent

Not trying to hijack the thread here, but I've seen some .308ME models as low as $400. NIB. I like my .375 and .356 Marlins so much with their 20" barrels, I'm considering a $400./.308ME shortened to 20". Comments?

Man! That new 336BL looks like the epitome of practicality! I want one! Especially if they would offer one in 35 Remington or 356 Winchester. Put a Skinner Lo-Pro on top of that rascal, and I'd be good to go!
