NOT sure why someone would feel the need to scratch their SS# into the metal in such a conspicuous spot? But it did make the price easier to pay. 200.00 out the door.
You know I would make that deal with you but I just bought all this leverevolution ammo for it and it is the only 35 rem I own. I tell you what when I am done shooting all these cartridges I will give it to you for what I got in it. You pay shipping .
I don't know what year it is. It is a microgroove barrel tho. I will have to run the serial number through a website. Do you have a site that will tell you?
Starting in 1973, the year of manufacture maybe determined by subtracting the first two digits of the serial number from 100:
Example: SN 2512345 would have been made in 1975 [100 - 25 = 75].
I laugh every time I look at those dang things. I know they work but man are they like a set of thick ankles on a nicely shaped woman..........or what.
The .35 Rem. in a post 72 Marlin has big time loading potential. You can almost match, within 75-100 fps muzzle velocity of the .356 Win. You will have to use Remington cases to reach full velocity potential. Try H-4895 or Benchmark. Under apprecriated round by some. Happy stomping. 1886.

That's just it, they DON'T work. Anything that makes you pull your cheek off the stock to use the scope and give up your weld is worthless.
Mount a 1-4x scope as low as possible on a rig like that and you're golden, brother.
Jim, good find. A little elbow grease and you have a fine rifle. Please tell me you are going to remove the cancerous growth on top of that fine lever Never understood spotting scopes on top of a lever rifle.
I am a salty, old, retired Chief Petty Officer who is not impressed by much.
